Description
The Colorado River has been carving Grand Canyon for millions of years. The result is that if you dropped the Statue of Liberty in the river, you would not be able to see her torch, maybe if she had another lady liberty to stand on her shoulders. The Park Rangers pointed out small rocks below on the first plataeu and saind those "small" rocks were three stories tall. I once took a donkey halfway down into the canyon but that was on the North Rin side. The way down into the Grand Canyon is really far. This shot was at sunset the first day we arrived. We only stayed a day and a half and maybe with another day we would have found our way in a little ways. Maybe Next year... When I'm 60.
